With my pet sitting business and showing dogs, I will not be able to attend the 50th Class Reunion.  We are acquiring another Kerry Blue puppy and becoming part of a co-op breeding program as well.  Wishing you and all our classmates, a successful reunion.   I hope you will be posting many wonderful pictures on the website for all to see.

MHS was a wonderful experience for me and since I’m not coming to the reunion, I’m using my profile to say thank you. Many of you went out of your way to befriend and include me, and, unlike numerous others who mourn their time in a new school, I have nothing but good feelings about classes, pep rallies, dances, dragging Main, youth group activities, and hanging out. I know that my cousin Mike Hester paved the way for some of you to accept me, but many more contributed to my sense of belonging, and my senior year was delightful. From MHS, I went to OSU where I earned a BA in English before joining my parents and sisters in Sacramento, California. I married Bob Russ in 1970, taught school for a year, and worked in public information and personnel for the State of California until our second child was born. In 1985, we moved to Corvallis, OR, home of Oregon State University. I taught high school English there until 2002 when we both retired, traveled and bought a home on Fidalgo Island, the gateway to the San Juan Islands. Our adult children, who still lived in Oregon, drew us away from amazing views of the Puget Sound and great fishing back to Portland and then to the suburb where we live now. We see them and our three young grandchildren regularly,  I participate in film and book groups, and Bob and I cook, entertain friends and family, and garden.
